In 2007, Caffè Ottolina was among the first Italian coffee roasters to develop Rainforest Alliance certified coffee blends, specifically designed for the Horeca sector. These fine blends were born from the selection of the best qualities of Rainforest Alliance certified Arabica and Robusta on the market.

The certification of the Quality Management System’s conformity to the ISO 9001: 2015 standard is an additional guarantee of the company’s reliability. Since 2008 Caffè Ottolina has decided to extend the certification to the management system of all products marketed, both under our brand and manufacturer’s own.
ISO 9001:2015 is now the new worldwide reference for the certification of the quality management system of organizations.
Caffè Ottolina has undertaken the process of adapting its production processes to the ISO 22000:2018 standard on food quality and safety management.
The ISO 22000:2018 standard is an essential reference for food safety management systems in the agri-food sector, which establishes internationally recognised standards and principles to guarantee food safety “from the field to the table”. Compliance with this standard ensures that we adopt best practices to offer safe, high quality products to our customers.
Caffè Ottolina obtained certification of conformity of its company system to the parameters of Corporate Responsibility (Social Workplace Accountability).
This standard ensures compliance with ethics in the production of goods and services, believing that the workplace must be managed in such a way as to guarantee fundamental human rights, in total transparency. Caffè Ottolina, as a coffee supplier for McDonald’s, has achieved a new milestone in food safety and the quality of its production process by obtaining the coveted certification to the SQMS standard (McDonald’s Supplier Quality Management System)
The SQMS is the standard used by McDonald’s to ensure food safety and quality. It is applied and required to companies that supply food products to McDonald’s under their brand.
All processes carried out at Caffè Ottolina are monitored and updated to maintain the already high-quality standards. Adherence to these regulations in terms of food hygiene and safety enables Caffè Ottolina to offer highly selected coffee blends in the market.
